If you’ve followed the trials and tribulations we went through while working on this book, you’ll know we first planned to release it in February. Neither of our schedules allowed it, though, and so we set another date: April 26. We struggled to make it all fit, but it just wasn’t to be, and we had to defer the release once again. We settled for the nearest available Friday, and that happened to be May 10.
Imagine my dismay when I saw an article about the solar eclipse on May 10. I had no idea this was likely to happen. I even asked a friend to search the web and make sure it wasn’t some sort of joke. No joke; the solar eclipse on May 10 will be visible from northern Australia and northern US.
Too much of a coincidence, I thought, cynical soul that I am. I even suspected Kristie may have known about this, as she’s the one who’d set the release date. Nope. She knew nothing about it.
So here’s what we have then: fate has arranged things with surprising accuracy. Either that, or through some lucky coincidence, we’ve managed to publish a book about witches on a solar eclipse. And let’s not forget, book one was published on Halloween (that one planned!).
Now, where did I park my broomstick?
