Teaser Tuesday – 6

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

To play along, just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page.
• Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My tease for today is from The Super Spies and the Cat Lady Killer, by Lisa Orchard

The cat lady killer

“Run!” Sarah shrieked.

Sarah pulled Jackie out of the window, and then grabbed Lacey’s hand. She took off sprinting through the Cat Lady’s back yard. The tall grasses gripped her ankles as she ran, slowing her down.

A very entertaining young YA mystery novel. Loving it. Look out for a string of features on Lisa Orchard and her books, starting next week.

  1. Clary hugged her arms around herself, her bracelets clanking together. If they dance any closer together, they won’t have to go off in a corner to have sex. — City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.
Can’t wait until I get to this part. 🙂

  2. My current “teaser” is from J.R. ward’s Lover At Last.
If there was a football team of lesser in there, it made sense to send the Brother in first, because he had the kind of backup nobody else did. His beast loved slayers, and not in a relationship sense.

  3. Then he stops again. There shouldn’t be any glare, just the discreet spotlights above the range (Romilly is excellent at lighting). But the room is bathed in an unnatural white glow. The security lights are on.
