Teaser Tuesday – 3

09 Apr

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

To play along, just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page.
• Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My tease for today is from Aoife and Demon: Cursed be the Syhlain, by Shamila Ghyas & Humeira Kazmi

aoife-and-demon

“Aren’t shape shifters entertaining?” Demon watched Azure hover above the shark’s snapping jaws with a wicked glint in his eye.

Azure, now a small blue-colored bird, was flapping all over the place to escape the giant shark.

A YA adventure romance, beautifully written. I am impressed, I have to say. Clever dialogue. I’m only about 20% of the way through but I loved every page so far.

“Insert the battery into the flux capacitor, at which point it should turn yellow”

“Your killer robot is now ready to do your bidding”

    Hmmmm…maybe I’m reading the wrong literature 😀

Oh you know, casual stuff. “World Domination for Dummies, Chapter 1 – building your very own murder robot!”
